I am really stretching things with this being a ferry forum, and should probably put this in the Forward Lounge, but I wanted to make sure people with a specific interest in Alaska saw this. It is a very big step for large vessels in the Aleutians. Huge tug for massive marine jobs now calls Dutch Harbor homeThe The Resolve Pioneer, a Salvor with an 80-ton bollard pull is being moved to Dutch Harbor. While the article asserts that such a tug could have prevented the Selandang Ayu from washing ashore, I seem to recall that the USCGC Healy had a line on her, which snapped.
