Nobody has entered a photo of a ferry in Rich Passage, so maybe this photo will stand a chance. So, here's my third submission: a photo of Walla Walla entering the narrowest part of Rich Passage, taken in April from Manchester State Park. Full Size

Btw Kahloke also entered a photo of the Kaleetan, he just edited his post instead of making a new one, so very few people knew about it. I just realized that when proboads pulled me back to page 1 of this thread after I made that post.

Kahloke's pic shows the ferry in the exact same place as mine, except from a different angle. I can tell because the same tree is present in both pics. (EDIT: He changed his Rich Passage entry, so that's no longer true.)

You want a narrow passage? I have a narrow passage! This is from my photos today of the M/V Kennewick passing through the Lake Washington Ship Canal on her way to the Lake Union Shipyards. I only want to submit one of these, but I would like to solicit opinions on which one makes a better banner. Feedback is welcome. If I don't get back here to decide in time for the deadline, then my choice to submit would be the first one here: EDIT: #1 will be my submission for the month -- please ignore #2. And... Thanks to all for the feedback!Banner #!: Full Size is HereBanner #2 (but not both): Full Size is Here

I would suggest submitting Numero Uno, as I personally think the colours are a bit better, but you are welcome to submit both if you like

I agree, # 1 is the better of the two.

We can choose which one we like better in the course of voting. That's the whole point of it--choosing which pics we want to see in the header next month. But if you really want to choose, definitely submit #1, since the ferry is closer, thus making the passage look even narrower.

We like diversity among the nominations. - you might experience vote-splitting, where some people vote for 1 and other people vote for the other.

Here's a late submission. The QUEEN OF ALBERNI coming out of her mid-life refit on June 19, 2007. Taken a couple hours before my wife gave birth to our second daughter... you can guess where she was at this moment... she reminds me every now and then Don't worry, I got there in lots of time... she was at St. Paul's Hospital.
