Departure Bay Parking

Are there any alternatives to the BC Ferries lot nearby the terminal for daily / long term (5 days) parking? The BC ferries lot looks well on its way to being full, already for today and I wont be there for another ten hours.

I was there on Tuesday and it was not full! Park in the short term lot lol! But it's only 45% full so you should be okay!

This is probably not the right thread in which to pose this question, but does anyone have a quick answer to whether or not there is ANY kind
of public transportation available from Duke Point terminal into downtown Nanaimo?, or at least something that would get one to the city
bus route that goes out to the Cedar area?

Starsteward, there is no BC transit service from the Duke Point ferry terminal. There is bus service in the Cedar area which is approximately seven kilometres from the ferry terminal. www.transitbc.com/regions/nan/schedules/map.cfm?p=map.rname&&line=7

    I had gleaned that there was a bus route out to Cedar. Guess if one wanted to, and under no particular time constraint, make their way to Cedar and go from there. The end destination being Departure Bay Terminal.

 

    I suppose I'm dreaming as to whether or not BC Ferries might ever consider hyping a round trip from Tsawwassen to Duke Point with some sort of arrangement(s) being offered to get interested travellers to Departure Bay. I realize it has been labelled a non-profit concept.

   As they don't hype a any vehicle traffic round trip concept on those routes, I suppose one shouldn't hole one's breath on the implementation of a foot passenger-only round trip eh?

This question applies to Swartz Bay but Departure Bay is pretty much the same so does anyone know the price of parking longer than 24 hours??? It only shows $12 for 24 hours I am wondering what the next option is??
