Hello everyone, It's my first post on the forum so forgive me if this has been asked before but is there a plan to remove the Olympic logos from Super C's? and if so when will it be done?

The Olympic 'titles' were already removed (about 2 years ago, I think). They stayed on the boats for a good two years after Vancouver's winter games ended . I guess though you actually mean the huge 'super graphics' of BC scenes and winter Olympic sports. I gather BC Ferries will remove them only when they are truly worn out & pealing away from the hull. They are saving on paint, it seems.

I'm somewhat apprehensive that bottom line thinking among Liberal and BC Ferries financial gurus might turn these behemoths into floating billboards, along the lines of their land based transit cousins. A lot of marketable white steel going to waste, some might say.

I don't have the costs in front of me, but I seem to recall those wraps were really expensive, to the point it wouldn't realm make sense for more conventional advertising. Who knows these days what will happen, though! Glad to see the new Intermediate vessels appear in all the mock ups with conventional paint.

Upon further research (read: Google) it appears the wraps were in the neighborhood of $750,000 per ship. No wonder they don't want to take them off!

Dane, please note though that the Coastal class vessels all "appeared in all the mock ups with conventional paint", but not so when completed. On the other hand, the NorEx was shown in artists' drawings with Olympic wraps...

They (the ships) were in the mock ups, but there was simultaneously mock ups of the wraps on their own for almost 18 months before the CR hit our coast.
