With the quiet retirement of the Seaspan Doris, the um.. semi-retirement of the Carrier Princess and the recent new arrivals from Turkey, I thought it would be a good time to have a Seaspan themed flagship. For the April / May flagship, I am looking for photos of Seaspan Ferries Past & Present. - I am only looking for photos of the Seaspan rail / truck trailer ferries - I will accept photos of Seaspan vessels in their previous owner's liveries - Photos of Seaspan pusher tug and barges will not be accepted Rules: Entries will be accepted up until March 29, 2018 at 9:00 PM, voting will take place over the following two days. - Limit of three submissions per person. - Preferred banner size is 1200 x 340 (pixel size), however we will accept banners down to 1080 x 300. Anything outside these dimensions will not be eligible. - Please post your entries no wider than 1024 pixels, with a link to the larger image - Please ensure all of your links work, and your thumbnail displays properly - Please note that flagship photos that were previously displayed are not eligible for re-submission For the complete Forum Flagship Rules: ferriesbc.proboards.com/thread/3510/forum-flagship-rules-information

FFS SIZE HERE
Here's my entry for the next group of FFS. This is the MV DORIS YORKE as photographed by me in the early 1970s from my dad's boat on Puget Sound. She was ferrying rail cars from Seattle to a BC destination. Not as clear as I wanted to deliver here. It was taken with my first camera, a simple Argus with 126 film. Nevertheless, this is an historic photo showing her original name and with a "Y" on her funnels. As you all know, she was renamed SEASPAN DORIS. She was my all time favorite (favourite) train ship.
