Hey team, For the flagship that will kick off our summer, I’m looking for photos of ships that you’ve caught during rare and unusual movements. Examples include when a ferry is traveling to/from refit or maintenance or out on sea trials. Note: the vessel must be moving (cannot be stationary in-port or in a drydock). The more unusual the ship move, the better! Standard entry rules apply: - 3 submission limit; - Dimensions of entries are to be 1200x340 px; - Thumbnails are to be 1024px wide; - Submissions will be accepted no later than 1900 on May 30th. Voting will commence shortly thereafter; and - Please review all forum entry guidelines here: ferriesbc.proboards.com/thread/3510/forum-flagship-rules-information

Well, let's get the ball rolling here. Probably my only entry, the Coast Renaissance coming out of drydock. Large one here.

Scott's shot of the Salish Orca approaching Campbell River takes this particular monthly exercise into another realm, namely, weird not in service movements. As in... how would it ever make sense to put a vessel that size and with that crew complement on the ten minute Quadra run? Probably, 'weird not in service movements' wouldn't garner many entries. Be fun if it did, though.
