Does anybody still know if WSF is still supposed to be enforcing posted reduced capacity cuts onboard? The Issaquah-class is quoted at a cap of 300 passengers total (reduced from the normal 1200), but that was *definitely* not enforced tonight, as the 1830 out of Friday Harbor today left with a whopping 744 passengers. Obviously, there wasn't anything done about that, but should there have been? Those numbers are only based on total walk ons, so it doesn’t account for the vehicle deck counts. That being said, for walk ons, it’s definitely being enforced on the Seattle routes. We had multiple sailings today where we had the 450 walk on cut off implemented on the Tacoma with over 900 passengers total. Same with two Saturdays ago. Only thing I could think of is that there isn’t another Friday Harbor to Anacortes sailing until 22:00, whereas the Bainbridge boat runs roughly every hour (you might as well throw out the schedule after 12:30ish on Weekends), so it’s not the end of the world if you leave some walk ons behind. That’s a long 3.5 hour wait in Friday Harbor....
