But this time it is a Fun post.
Could we ever have the 3 ferry systems become one?

Perfect title of this thread "It has been done before".
It has been done before, on San Francisco Bay. Three major central bay area vehicle ferry lines became one. Northwestern Pacific, Southern Pacific, and Golden Gate Ferry became the SOUTHERN PACIFIC GOLDEN GATE FERRIES, LTD. in 1929. The service line to Vallejo was added to the three.
After the merger, the SP and NWP vehicle ferries lost their funnel logos and white paint replaced the golden yellow on the GGF vessels. No more vehicle ferry service to Marin County from the Ferry Building. All vehicle trips to Marin County, as well as Berkeley, departed from Hyde Street after the merger.
Northwestern Pacific continued passenger only service to Marin County from the Ferry Building and Southern Pacific did the same to Alameda County from the same mega hub in San Francisco.
It's interesting to note that benches were cleared out on the Main Deck aboard the EUREKA on weekends and she provided extra vehicle service on the Hyde Street to Marin County lines. The Main Deck benches were restored for the weekday passenger trips out of the Ferry Building aboard this huge sidewheel steamer.

...but the originator of this thread gave us no idea what 'three ferry systems' he was referring to.

OK... Let me think for a min. This board is called WCF, there are three dominant ferry operators in these waters... I got it! It has to be the Albion, Ladner, and the North Vancouver Ferries right?
Hay dofd: I've thought of it a few times myself, but would that be a good thing?
