Hmmm...too bad that they can't have one of those unofficial sailings on the 4th. I'll be down in the city all day that day anyway. But I never know, with the way things have been going at work, maybe I'll be able to sneak down there on the 6th or 7th.

If it is the 6th I think I am free that day. So she is gonna do 1 sailing then go back empty?? Or do you mean 1 roundtrip?? How it that gonna work just doing 1 sailing?

I think one direction on the 6th, then the other direction on the 7th.

MD sailings are always a round trip sailing. No point in deadheading at all. BC Ferries will want to promote this ship as much as possible. There would probably be one round trip on the 6th sometime in the afternoon. Then I could see the CR helping out with afternoon sailings on the 7th, as it is a Friday. Depending on how busy it is, we might even see two round trips made that day.

The first person who guesses the exact date the CR carries paying customers between DPB and HSB for the very first time will be the winner (of eternal fame). If no one guesses on the nose, the first person to guess the closest date before or after the magic date will win. Scott: March 7. ← Special merit for guessing the closest date to the CR's first Managers' Discretion Sailing. kyle fossett: 3:00 p.m. sailing, March 8. ← WINNER!Chris: March 8. queenofcowichan: March 8. blackshadow: March 8. Michael: March 9. Mirrlees: March 9. --Coastal-Skier--: March 10. kam: March 10. johnnytindale: 6:30 a.m. sailing, March 11. Wet Coast Kid: March 12. Nucksrule: March 13. cohocatcher: March 13. Political Incorrectness: March 14. DENelson83: March 15. ferrytraveller: March 15. coastalcody: Saint Patrick's Day.shipchandler: March 21. Ship-Rider 16: March 31. Gulf Island Teen: April 1. So the date the CR carried its first 'paying customers' was today, March 6th. That makes the winners here: Michael: March 9. Mirrlees: March 9. Why so? Because they actually 'guessed' the closest date to March 6th. All those who 'guessed' March 8th did so after the Nanaimo open house on Feb. 2nd at which people were told March 8th by Deb Marshall. Congrats to Mike - NewFlyer for being the first to 'guess' the closest date.
