Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following...
Terms of Service (ToS)
By using this site, you agree to ProBoards' Terms of Service (ToS).
Cookies
Cookies are utilized to store usernames and passwords during your logged-in
session. During this session, the user has the option to set the length
of time for the cookie, or to let the cookie last indefinitely.
Distribution of Information
We may share user information with outside sources when alerted to
suspicious activities and / or unlawful activity on this forum, or when
permitted or required by law.
Public Forum
Please remember that any information that is disclosed on this website becomes
public information. You should exercise caution when deciding to
disclose personal or business information.
Membership
Membership is required to post, create threads, gain access to certain boards,
view the website advertisement free and to participate in polls.
We appreciate new members and the different experiences and viewpoints
that they bring. They help to make our website more diverse and
interesting. We ask that you consider your first posts as being similar
to someone joining an established group conversation that is already in
progress. Introduce yourself and step back to determine the style and
culture of the discussions that you will be joining in on.
Please do not rush in unannounced posting multiple times in the first day
without thought to the established discussions. Pick your spots, allow
others to get to know you and make a smooth entrance.
Members who no longer participate will continue to have their past contributions remain visible on this website.
Accounts that reach 120 days of inactivity are subject to deletion.
Foul Language
Filters scan all posts prior to their appearance on this website.
Spam
Anyone registering an account for these purposes will be removed immediately.
In addition, all account information of the offender will be forwarded
to an international spam registry. If we deem necessary, information
will also be forwarded to the offending individuals internet service
provider to face consequences from their internet provider directly.
Staff will fully investigate any accounts that are responsible for sending
slanderous, hateful or demeaning messages via this websites private
message system.
Accounts that are accessing this website via a
proxy server and appear suspicious may have their account or post(s)
deleted or modified.
We record and archive all posts that are deleted on this website.
Advertising
Advertising of one's business venture, website or forum is not good for discussion
and thus any posts containing such advertising will be deleted. If you
wish to advertise, please use your signature or avatar.
This rule does not apply to an individuals ferry related photo or video site.
Personal Attacks
Debating is encouraged and arguments will happen. However, please do not get
carried away by insulting or slandering other members. Belittling other
members and starting flame wars is not good for discussion, nor is it
fun for others to read.
Members and guests are advised to use some restraint when accusing others of posting wrong information or
facts. Please take a moment to consider what the other person has
intended to say and whether you have interpreted their post correctly.
For obvious typo's or brain-slips, most of the members will still be
able to figure out what the poster meant to say, so we can go on in our
discussion without being sidetracked.
Attacks on Staff
Depending on the situation, consequences will vary up to permanent removal from this website.
Mini Moderating
Staff actively monitor all boards and any spam will be deleted. However, if
you come across a post that causes you concern, please click on the
Report to Mod option located below the body of the post in question.
Technical Issues
While staff cannot be held responsible for any technical problems that might
arise while viewing the website, staff will do their best to notify
members in the event of a known issue or outage. If you are
experiencing issues from third-party software (non-ProBoards based),
please contact your software vendor.
Staff will only troubleshoot ProBoards related issues.
New topics
To allow easier reading for our many members and guests, please utilize
existing topics when adding any information that relates to, or is
similar to discussion in progress. If the information you wish to add
does not fit in with the current topics available for discussion, please
create a new topic and title it appropriately. Any new topics created
that mirror current discussion will be locked and all further discussion
will be re-directed back to the appropriate topic already in use.
Grammar
To the best of your ability, please use good English in your posts. We
are not English teachers, but we will delete posts that do not make
sense or are overly difficult to understand.
Off-Topic Discussion
We are all guilty of straying off topic at one time or another, but please
try your best to remain on topic. Posts with little or no connection
to the thread may be deleted. If this becomes a reoccurring issue, the
warning system will be activated and will appear on your account.
Hotlinking
Hotlinking is when you post an image from another website directly onto our
website. This is against the Terms of Service (ToS) and all posts
containing hotlinked images will be deleted. Instead, we suggest that a
URL to that picture be provided.
Photos linked directly from your own website or photosite are allowed and encouraged.
Images
Maximum of 1024 x 768 pixels on threads, 900 x 260 pixels for signatures.
Oversized images make threads hard to read forcing viewers to constantly scroll
to the right to finish each line. On this website, staff strictly
enforce a limit of 1024 x 768 pixels on threads and 900 x 260 pixels for
signatures. Any photo that is exceeding these dimensions will be
removed.
In order to share and post pictures to this website, you
must sign up with a host such as Photobucket or Imageshack.
Photobucket is best for those who do not have their own website.
In order to share your image on the forum, see the code below:

Photos posted to this website, unless otherwise noted, are the sole property
of the copyright holder. Possessing any image that has been obtained
without consent and / or credit to the copyright holder is illegal.
Photos taken of or within restricted areas, with an identifiable employee(s), or some other method of identifying a ship's crew, will be removed.
Obscene, hateful or sexually oriented images are not tolerated.
Please refrain from using moving or flashing images in your profile.
Group Trips
While this website continues to provide a place for the public to learn and
discuss ferry related topics, we understand that it has also helped
create a sub-group of people who enjoy getting together for group trips.
The Voyager board has been setup to accommodate this group of members
to help ensure a measure of privacy, control and safety for these
events.
Access to our Voyager board is generally by invitation
only. However, those members who have contributed positively for at
least three (3) months and with a minimum of one-hundred (100) posts may
apply for consideration via e-mail to contactwcff@gmail.com. In your
e-mail, please provide your first and last name, e-mail address and
username with the message titled "Group Trips Request". Staff will
notify you via e-mail regarding the status of your request within one
(1) to two (2) days.
All information contained within the Voyager board is confidential.
To maintain security, all individuals that have access must post in the
Voyager board at least once in a thirty (30) day period. All accounts,
except those who have been granted exemption, will be removed from the
Voyager board at thirty (30) days of inactivity.
When a trip is proposed, all members wishing to participate must make it known in the
topic the trip is posted to. If you previously expressed interest, but
are not able to attend, please let others know.
You must provide or arrange for your own transportation.
All costs incurred on a group trip are the sole responsibility of the
participant.
As a member of the travelling public, members must conduct themselves in
an appropriate manner at all times. Any member acting inappropriately
will have their Voyager status removed.
Staff reserve the right to add or remove Voyager status on any forum member for any reason without notice.
