From 2020, this was the only time that I saw her at work. I did see her once before, and that was when she came out of refit at Seaspan in Lower Lonsdale.

Yours for only $82,000! So, which is older, her or the Whatcom Chief? What's older, & currently in the BC Ferries fleet is the Queen of New Westminster. I have read a few times that the PRQ was oldest of the current fleet, but that is not true.

Some random person told me that they are going to sink Powell River Queen. Is that true?

Some random person told that are going to sink Powell River Queen. Is that true? It appears to still be for sale; not sure how quick these ship sale websites are updated?

Will the Powell River Queen stay at Departure Bay until it is sold?

Will the Powell River Queen stay at Departure Bay until it is sold? Probably not due the decommissioning process needing to happen at maintenance unit.

Some random person told that are going to sink Powell River Queen. Is that true? Come on, 'Blue Bus Fan'... you can do better than that. And I'm not just talking about the grammar.

She'd make a great meme for the Dollarton - Belcarra ferry. Service from the foot of Mt. Seymour Parkway to Belcarra Park!

Mega zoom?

A 100-400 mm zoom used in APS-C mode and then the image heavily cropped, so the equivalent of maybe a 1000 mm lens. The shot was taken from the park near the Duke Point ferry terminal. The air was also exceptionally clear.

I've also seen numerous articles saying the PRQ was the oldest ship in the fleet. Maybe the oldest *minor* ship, but don't forget New Westminster, the grand old lady of the entire fleet!
Sad to say, I never got to travel on this one. (Got Bowen and Mayne; I also missed one ship of the original Spaulding 9 - Sidney.)
The closest I ever got to the PRQ was one day at CFB Esquimalt. I looked over at the Esquimalt Graving Dock and saw a ferry there, and wondered which one it was. Not Bowen, not Mayne, not Cumberland...?? A few hours later I got a better view across the harbour: Oh, RIGHT. It's the Powell River!

Powell River Queen bridge from when the Powell River Queen was still in service, October 2022
Am I allowed to put these photos of the bridge if it is in a "restricted area" or should it be deleted?

I can't say for sure but I have seen bridge photos from other ships on here, so I think it's allowed.

Am I allowed to put these photos of the bridge if it is in a "restricted area" or should it be deleted? As long as there aren’t any crew visible in the shots, (which there aren’t) I don’t see any issue with posting these.

And as long as it doesn't reveal the location of the Queen of Richmond on the radar

Powell River Queen has turned off and on the interior lights, does this mean that the Powell River Queen will be leaving Fulford Harbour soon?
