Not much of a photo, but it does show a CN train on the tracks above Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. - September 18, 2012

Unfortunately I saw no locomotives sporting the red, white & blue BC Rail livery . CN has done a pretty good job of scattering them throughout their system.

Boy, there are some good photos on here. I singled out a few favorites, but I have to admit that I am and have nearly always been fascinated by the rail scene north of my border. As well, it seems to be a common thread that a lot of Ferry Foamers on this board are Rail Foamers as well. Good for all of us! from my one and only exposure to the lovely BC Rail, here's a shot of a southbound PGNV in Pavilion, BC. Enjoy!

Spotted 4551 still in the BC Rail silver and blue at the CN Thorton Yard in Surrey. I haven't seen a BC Rail schemed locomotive in several months

I really like these. Do you know who the photographer is? If at all possible you should be crediting him/her.

A few more photos of a south-west bound CN freight on the old BC Rail / PGE track, at Seton Lake. - morning of September 7, 2014 ...and the video of it (pardon the pan-flute): ------ This is a dramatic location for filming trains, but the trains are infrequent. (still to come is my video of the Koaham Shuttle)

This is a dramatic location for filming trains, but the trains are infrequent. It is my understanding that BC Rail used to move about three freight trains per day in each direction between North Vancouver & Prince George. In addition to that, there was the passenger RDC service (Cariboo Dayliner). I also understand that today, CN now routes most through freight between Vancouver & Prince George over the mainline to Tete Jaune, & then via CN BC North to PG. The former BC Rail route is operated very much as a branch line 'local' service, hence the lack of long through trains...

Here is the Kaoham Shuttle headed along Seton Lake, headed for Lillooet. - seen by me on September 7, 2014 If you have a large viewing monitor, you can see the shuttle on the left side of the screen, to the left of the trees. It is waiting on a siding - the CN freight is travelling, shown in the middle of the photo I managed to capture the entire consist of the Kaoham Shuttle in my camera frame. ...and the video:

A YouTube video of a Budd Car trip on PGE from North Vancouver to Lillooet. - from the 1950s.
I saw this linked on the "Canadian Railway Observations" facebook group, and I think people here will enjoy this too.
- a brief glimpse of Black Ball's Horseshoe Bay terminal, at the 0:50 mark. And a unique HSB "berth 3 beach" view at 1:30 of the video
