Finally cranked out the 1st of 2 Trip Reports from my summer travels to Kamloops. Just a soft-drink on the flight! Guess the good old days are long gone. You should consider sending Air Canada and Skytrax a note detailing the dirty condition of the passenger cabin. Economy is one thing but there's no excuse for offer customers a ride on a dirty, unkempt aircraft. Include the aircraft's designation if you've got it somewhere. It'll be C-/---- Nice posting, too bad the smoke destroyed most of the view for you.

Somehow I got a snack on the Calgary-Kamloops leg! I wrote to AC about this last year and all I got was 25% off my next flight (which I never used). Registration was C-GBJZ... I can put up with smoke, but no legroom and bad service I can't!

WestJet has recently stated where the B787-9 will fly to out of Calgary International Airport which are London, Dublin and Paris: dailyhive.com/calgary/yyc-airport-hub-dreamliner-flights-london-dublin-parisI could see WestJet basing 4 B787-9 out Vancouver International Airport for Asian Market, 2 B787-9 out Saskatoon International Airport or Edmonton International Airport. Hopefully WestJet orders more B787 with more variety of wide body planes such as B777-7 and/ or B777-8 and/ or AirBus A350 to compete with Air Canada on the International market.

Flair Airlines seasonal service to YYJ ends Friday. Thought I would share my last catch of their 737-400, as I will not be able to capture their last flight of the season. What destinations does this airline serve from Victoria?

Edmonton What destinations does this airline serve from Victoria? Jack is right. In addition to Edmonton (non-stop) Flight FLE326 goes Victoria-Edmonton-Winnipeg-Hamilton. Passengers can also switch aircraft in Edmonton and arrive in Toronto. FLE325 flies the opposite route. YHM-YWG-YEG-YYJ

Hey everyone. Last weekend I decided to try making some videos while plane spotting. It took a few tries to master my new tripod, but I have something that was YouTube worthy. I would appreciate any feedback!

Going through my photos from this summer, and decided to re-edit a few of my shots. Nanaimo Airport has some wonderful scenery. I was hoping to get photos of all 3 of the new West Coast A319 flights, but my golf game in Kamloops interrupted getting a shot of YKA's A319.

Airliners.net is a site I regularly troll (I'm not a member) and I ran across a Westjet thread that had this video in one of the posts. It's Westjet's new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The video walks you through the interior. It looks like a nice plane, and should be a really good addition to Westjet's fleet. I'm looking forward to flying on a 787-9 for the first time in April. Not on Westjet, mind you. I will be flying on one of Virgin Atlantic's Dreamliners from Seattle to London and back. Anyway, enjoy the video:

I couldn't help but laugh. WestJet was a top-20 regional low cost carrier by a web site. I am assuming they have never been on the the WestJet web site.

I hope that WestJet will invest wisely when competing with Air Canada because this could go horribly wrong with loosing money and going bankrupt.

Alex is a good friend of mine with exceptional work. He has now reviewed the Economy class (Inaugural Flight) and the Business Class.

I wonder what Onex does if and when it acquires WestJet. Do they: -Keep or abandon the international expansion; -Sell the regional carrier and do a capacity purchase agreement; and/or -Modify WestJet Rewards (I like it how it is... wouldn't be surprised if it changes).

No Harbour Air thred, so I will post here, though it is interesting and a first for the YVR area.
