I making this thread come back from the past because BC Ferries is starting to talk about replacing the Quinsam. BC Ferries is considering building one 100 vehicle capacity vessel or 47 vehicle capacity vessel to replace the Quinsam. If so then a single 100 car vessel is likely cheaper (less of everything to maintain). If greater frequency on the route is necessary on the route then 2 vessels could be the answer. I’d side with you and agree that 1 vessel would be optimal.
