Quiz time again... try to hold back the applause. Actually it's more like a poll to gather information I guess... cause I am doing it for a specific purpose, so try and be serious here . To the best of your knowledge try to reference as many significant sociological, political or economic events or watersheds that took place over the years 1959 and 1960... besides the obvious that BCFerries was formed (i know that already ).

1960 - the BC pill was introduced and the 'Baby Boom' came to an end.

1960 - the BC pill was introduced and the 'Baby Boom' came to an end. O.k... no more being smart... i was asking for notable events happening around 1959-1960 to sort of set a background for the ferry corporation being formed, by being able to relate what else was going on in the province at that time.

You did ask for
"significant sociological ... events or watersheds that took place over the years 1959 and 1960"
My contribution is certainly a significant sociological event and a watershed. Granted that it is not unique to this part of the world, but you didn't say that!

May 1960 - An American U2 Spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union resulting in Nikita Kruschev canceling the Paris Peace Conference.
September 1960 - JFK and Richard Nixon take part in the first televised presidential debate.
December 1960 - Rich Fields, the announcer on the CBS game show "the Price is Right" is born.

I got 90%. I was tricked by the Quizno question...Did you screw up and put Quizno Subs instead of White Spot? I also decided to take Chris' original quiz again and see how I did. 8 Out of 10 once again. I didn't read the first question clearly enough. Feeling these Quizzes were a bit too easy, I've decided to try making a more challenging quiz. I now challenge you to put your brains to the test and take my quiz of wild and interesting ferry questions. www.quizyourfriends.com/take-quiz.php?id=0903090022583982&a=1&

I got 90% says the last list, but I got every question right (after reading this thread). I demand a recount.
Also, the Queen of Sidney was launched by Bennett's wife.

Cheers,

What does question 1 mean? Why would you be back at Horseshoe Bay on question 3? I see question 4, but then the preamble to the third question becomes untrue. It seems intentionally misleading, but not in a "misleading math" sort of way.... Question 5 has two correct answers
