Haha, I'm glad you guys like that pic. I was hoping it was going to leave so I could get a pic of the front of her, because as we came up to it, a crew member went to the back and untied a rope that was holding it to the dock like it was about to leave, so we got out of its way and waited for about 5 minutes and it still didn't leave. But oh well, I still have plans to go for a trip on her.

Can anyone go on her?? I thought it was just for workers who worked over at Woodfibre! Get lots of photos if you do! I would like to see what the inside looks like! I dident realize how big she was! I thought she was smaller! How long does it take to cross to Woodfibre??

Yup it's a free ferry. It takes about 15-20 mins to cross I think, maybe less. But yes I will definitely take lots of pictures!

Curtis, where was that where the QOTF is? Do you have your own boating lake in the back garden? Or did you do it elsewhere? Because I could come out there one day and take my Mill bay ferry model with me, or touy could bring his Wooden BCF Models.

Hey Chris I like the pics of Woodfibre. My Step-Grandma grew up there. She told me about a ferry called the Rolf Bruhn, I read up on this ferry in a book about the Ministries coastal and inland ferries and it says the Rolf Bruhn was built in Prince Rupert and was transported to Francois Lake were it operated her there and then they trucked her down to Vancouver where it was put in service on the Woodfibre run and then she was used on the Gabriola run and the Thetis-Kuper run as a spare ferry and then she was sold, im not sure who bought her but as of 1980 she was in Squamish being used as a type of barge or dock.

That's really interesting history on the Woodfibre Ferry! I'll have to go and ask the people I know that work over there to see if they know what happened to it!

I am back and checking posts via free library access, but because my laptop is dead it's more difficult to access the web, let alone post pics.
That being said, I'll take requests, from the limited range of pics taken with my new camera, for my next webshots post.
Choices include: -More Queen of the North at Tsawwassen terminal (the next morning) -Queen of Cowichan and Bowen Queen at Deas -QotN, Bowen Queen and (I can't remember which one) either the Cowichan or Coquitlam at Tsawwassen -2 engines stored at Deas -Queen of Nanaimo undergoing refit at N.Van. + FastCats at N.Van. -Horseshoe Bay from Sea to Sky Hwy. + Queen of Surrey + Queen of Esquimalt at Langdale -Kuleet and Klatawa on the Fraser River

Clarification:
That third choice that I listed is actually at Deas, not Tsawwassen. --------------------------------------------------
I'll probably end up choosing a handful of the best pics that I have of most of those choices. Fortunately Webshots doesn't seem to limit the number of albums or file size, so I should still be able to get upto 240 pics under a variety of different albums or categories.
I'll post here again once I've made an upload (should be by the end of the weekend).

I was down in Horseshoe Bay for a little while today, and just happened to see the Queen of Surrey in dock. So I decided to snap a few pics seeming she'll be moved to route 30 pretty quick and then off to midlife refit shortly thereafter. Enjoy!....

Yeah I must say I did a good job of the Mill Bay its only difference in the real one besides passenger areas and capacities is the car capacity is 7 less with toy cars. Since today was the first day of the Coquitlam being on the Langdale route I took some photos of the Lego Ferries of the Table tommorrow they will be on my photo site I'll post here when they are done
