Maybe cause our last bad accident was in 00 when the Sealth rammed Colman Dock. 04 was the last grounding. It was 1998 when the Sealth rammed Colman Dock.

Barnacle, If the 1996 incident you are referring to was the Rich Passage close encounter of the Bremerton boats, I do not remember that it was an impaired Captain but rather a Quartermaster who tested positive for marijuana. That was not a causal factor in the incident.

That was not a causal factor in the incident. Actually I think he was referring to the Elwha taking the detour through Cattle Pass...and in that case it was the captain who tested positive.

That was not a causal factor in the incident. I was, as EvergreenFleet stated, referring to the Elwha's exploration of Cattle Pass. I don't know the circumstances regarding the 'close encounter' of the Bremerton ferries in 1996, other than I did hear a specific individual's name attached to the quartermaster position. (The name is not important.)
