The ships plow through the water so they have a wake at the front and a wake at the back where the engines are running the Cow is probably going to the left of the photo so theres a wake to the left of the photos

That picture is of the Cowichan docking at Departure Bay and that explains the spash in front of the ship. Everyone knows that they engage the bow propeller when they are docking the ship and the stern propeller is still active. We also know that is Departure Bay because the ship hasn't gone to any other terminals but Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay since it's mid-life refit (and the picture is not "edited") and the door at the front is open.

When I was on Cowichan on Tuesday night, I decided to take a walk through the gift shop to see if they had any new postcards of the ferries yet..nope just had an old pic of the Cowichan a few years ago taken maybe around when she was on the Langdale route, and I have that one anyway, but then I noticed a basket of playing cards that you use to play like go fish or whatever game you can play with cards, and they had a picture of the ferry on the back side of them, it was Coquitlam, just so happens that their card pictures are fake too. 3 reasons of how I noticed, #1: the solariums were yellow like they were before the refit and right now they're really red, #2 it didn't have the little boxes that stick out on the passenger decks for the evacuation chutes, #3 the blue lines were sort of blurry like how they are on the website and basically the picture looked old anyway. I don't really want to complain, but whoever has a ferry piture site should see if they could sell their pictures to BCF's ;D but I don't see them doing that

I have a few of BC Ferries new postcards. The postcard look is new but all the ships are in the old colors. You think if they had new postcards like they do now, they would be what they ships look like now not before. That's why we have the old postcards of the old look, have new postcards, gotta have the new look. There not doing all that great with their photos and postcards and so on.

The Howe Sound Queen picture is uber old The Khaloke looks real I cannot tell with the Klitsa? Kwuna is BAD lol, obviously fake Mayne Queen is fake Mill Bay is fake Nimpkish is fake NIP is fake PRQ is real, still in old scheme QQ2 is real Alberni is fake, and old The Burnaby looks real, and fake too... perhaps "enhanced" The stripe looks real, but the wave looks fake Cap is fake Chilliwack is fake Coqu is fake Cow is real Cumberland is real, in old paint Esqu is definatly fake, easiest way to tell is the fact that she rusted pretty much right after they painted her it seemed  Nanaimo is real, I think. North is real, I think New West is perhaps the worst fake on the site ...oh wait after typing that, the Prince Rupert is bad, too Oak Bay is real, way to be on the ball BCF Tsawwassen is real Saanich is real in old paint Surrey is fake Vancouver is real in old colours Qunitsa is fake Quinsam doesn't even wear BCFS paint yet, does it? Skeena is fake Spirits are fake Tachek is fake Tenaka is fake |

is she running both props? can someone seriously get ahole of someone @ BCF and tell them they need to fire the guy doing the Photoshopping? maybe she is running both props, mode two uses both props |

Yeah they do! I think they just might be real! We should get BC Ferries to use some of our photos! I know alot of us have some good ones!

Well, I was looking around the Fleet profiles, the only two ships that need to be upgraded on the site are the Cumbie, and the PR Queen. Karl could probably get a good one of the Cumbie at some point, but I don't know who could get the PR Queen, Maybe Sandi if she ever comes to this forum.

That photo of the Cowichan docking with both bow and stren propellers going with the wake at both ends is in a magazine I got from my aunt who works for the ferries! There is that photo and in the photo there is a guy standing there. One of big guys, not David Hahn. There was a few pages in it about the upgrades, I think it was for the Oaky!
Also I got the latest issue of Wave. Did anyone know they did a fire drill on the Queen of Saanich?? They filled the upper deck restuarant with smoke to what it would be like in a actual fire! In the photos you can see the smoke! I think they might of even removed one of the windows too! What else was interesting in that issue, hmm! let me think!
