The Queen of Tsawwassen's Profile and The Mill Bay's Profile Have Become the Latest Ferry Profiles to Get a Real Photo. The Tsawwassen's Looks a bit un-professional. Actually, it looks like It's flying flags for the Saltery Bay Route's 51st Anniversary which happened in August 2005. And the Mill Bay's is a plain and simple one of the Mill Bay at Mill Bay Terminal.

Heh, a little shorter than the QPR in the silloutte. However, the NA exceeds the QPR in length, according to the profile. SOMEBODY screwed up.

They really messed up that one the NA is shorter then the QPR the Kuper is as big as the Quinsam. that's just what you get when different people draw the sillhouettes.

To help redirect discussion, here's my post from the Northern Adventure thread... Hmm. I didn't know we got a new minor vessel, which looks like a smaller Northern Adventure.... Also, looks like they've already posted the silloette for the new Intermediate Class vessel. BC Ferries seems to have had given up on the proportion and scale when it comes to their vessels' profile sihouettes about a decade and a half ago; the first and most striking departure from keeping the silhouettes to scale, as far as I know, was after the lifting of the Queen of New Westminster... From having a profile similar to her sister the Queen of Nanaimo before 1991...
...To having this stubby looking profile
While the 'V' Class profiles after lifting kept their length to scale in earlier years

Looks like they listened to the comments about the silhouettes of the Kuper being too large, and the NA being too small.... BC Ferries Fleet Profile.

The newest photo for the Kuper appears to be Kevin Stapleton's.

Much better.

That's much better. Though the Kuper's Sillhouette sort of looks like a Cumberland Class with a car deck that's too low.

Hmm, seems like BC Ferries might almost be reading our forum! I thought you guys had photoshopped those two silouettes. It looks alot better now. I wonder why they changed the photo of the Tsawwassen though, I thought the old one looked fine! And just a question keeping with BC Ferries fleet photos. Does anyone have a picture of the Nicola from her profile saved? All the one's on webarchive.org don't work.

In response to Queen of Nanaimo Teen's comment re. the Queen of Tsawwassen's old photo:
It was photoshopped. They replaced it because it is part of BC Ferries meak effort to replace photoshopped photos.

Wow! I'm very impressed with BC Ferries! Though I am sort of unhappy that there is no more expo colors anymore. Oh well! And it looks as if the only fake photos now are that of New West, Esquimalt and Tachek!!!

I doubt that they will change the Surrey picture though. I think it looks fine!

I doubt that they will change the Surrey picture though. I think it looks fine! Personally, I thought the Coquitlam's wasn't going to change. Still looking good though. I'd guess that the Surrey, Esquimalt, New West, and Tachek will be the last ones

This is an awful picture of the Kwuna. You would think that they would try to have a photo of her operating on her home surf - Skidegate Channel!

This is an awful picture of the Kwuna. You would think that they would try to have a photo of her operating on her home surf - Skidegate Channel! Hear Hear - I agree totally. You have to get beyond snapping at the refit facility. Is this the first ever fleet profile pic to be shot while the featured vessel is in refit? I think so...

Yeah, I was somewhat disgusted when I saw that! I looked on Kevin Stapletons photo website, and the only photos he has of the Kwuna in the QCI are in expo colours. I guess BC Ferries wouldn't want to use those!
