Just checking in from the trip. It turned out to be only Jordan and I this time. The Surrey was running about 15 mins late. They were running the Surrey hard, as we managed to get to Langdale in 35 mins, and about the same on the return trip. The sun really made it a bit muggy on the Ferry, so shady spots on the outer deck were the best places to be, as the A/C didn't seem to be running. Once we arrived at Horseshoe Bay, the Vancouver started coming around the corner. Talk about perfect timing! Anyways, I got a really good recording of her horn today, and the link to hear it will be provided below these pics... Just to confirm, there is a mix between beer, and pop cans on the Arbutus Tree beside Berth 3.... The "Secret Garden" at Berth 2. [http://ferrymaniac.sitesled.com/Pics/surrey%20007.jpg/img] JORDAN! GET YOUR HAND OUT OF THERE! Two V's seen from Horseshoe Bay The Vancouver in Berth 1 at Horseshoe Bay The Vancouver departing for Departure Bay. More pics will be uploaded to my site tomorrow evening. Now finally for you horn lovers out there, here's the Queen of Vancouvers horn at Horseshoe Bay. Nice pics Chris! It was a beautiful day for this type of thing. Anyone know how long the Oak Bay will be out for? I will likely be traveling via Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay this Monday....

Chris: Nice job! You saved this board a bit of controversy by posting that pic of the "Beer Can Tree." Thanks! ;D

Yeah, it was an awesome day to get out there. Gotta take advantage of this nice weather! Oak Bay is supposed to be back in service on Sunday, according to the service notice. I too will most likely be taking Route 2 on either Sunday or Monday. Glad to be at your service, 'B' Class Teen. I guess I missed a few links...There were two more pics to be shown..... JORDAN! GET YOUR HAND AWAY FROM THER, I KNOW YOU SAW THAT LITTLE YELLOW SIGN.... The little "Secret Garden" beside Berth 2.

It's good to know that Jordan's wrist-watch is perfectly synchonized with the clock on Chris's camera.

You know Horseshoe Bay once was my bastion of a V-Classless world, and now it's crumbling around me. Nice pics, btw! Perhaps I'll try and get out on the Vancouver one of these mornings, if I can work it with my schedule at work.

Thanks Chris. It must seem to go by so fast on the Surrey huh. Last time I was on the Langdale run it only seemed like a 15 minute crossing.

Yeah, it really did seem to go by quick. The Captain was pressing for time, so it made it seem even faster. We left Horseshoe Bay 10 mins late, and left Langdale 5 mins late. Then she was running right on time after that, according to the current conditions last night.

It sure does seem faster than it should be don't you think. One minute you're looking at Horseshoe Bay the next you see the Queen of Esquimalt in Berth 2 at Langdale
