We have had two successfull tours on the Sidney and the Garibaldi. What other ferries would you want to get a tour on??
Here are a few I thought of
The Coho Albion Ferries Queen of Chilliwack Queen of Prince Rupert Queen of Cumberland

I was talking to Dane in the bridge of the Garibaldi yesterday, and he said we might be able to get us on to the Capilano when they take it out of service for a day to get its RADS worked on or something. It would be at Horseshoe Bay too. I would assume it would be next month, because February is the month the Cappie goes for refit. But there's a catch, we'd have to sign some papers or something, just so BCF isn't responsible if one of us gets injured while taking the tour. But I'll leave that up to Dane, because he knows someone who's working on the ferry.
Also, it would be cool to get a tour of the Surrey in June when it gets back from its Midlife, and is sitting at Departure Bay. Scott would be the one to arrange that, as both of his parents work at Departure Bay. I bet we would all have to sign papers everytime we get a tour on a BC Ferry, like what I said about the Cappie tour.
I dunno, whatever ferry gets parked at Departure Bay would be great to tour.

That would be allot of fun except for all of us who would have to come over from Vancouver via HSB. I am on SaltSpring every fourth week so I can make it to Croften then get a ride up which will be easier for me but still be a problem for others.

And also the Prince Rupert is in Departure Bay to before or after her refit which is one I was planning to go on with Scott if he goes. But Scott goes on all the time when a ferry is at Departure Bay cause his dad works there so he dosent have to sign anything I dont think so and I dident that time. But that would be cool to get on the Capilano.

I don't mind driving down to Horseshoe Bay, and then walking on to the ferry from there.

Actually yeah a tour of the Harbourlynx would be pretty cool. Someone should try contacting the Coho and see if we can get a tour. Might be pretty hard being an american ship though. Pacificats would be kind of cool too. I am not a big fan of the fastcats but still would be neat to have a tour.

I dunno, I think it would be neat to go on them again. I was pretty young when I got to go on the Discovery, so I only remember parts of it, like the seating, stairs, and arcade of course.

I vould like to go on route two for a change, especially as it is almost a year since I travelled on the Cowichan. I don't think people have noticed, but my sister left the forum a few months ago.

Queen of Prince Rupert would be really interesting. Most of us never have a chance (or the money) to go up north, and she'll be out of the fleet in a few years. One of the old flagships of the fleet. Even I might be up for a tour of her!

What about a tour of BCF's second oldest ferry and only catameran, the North Island Princess?

yeah, that would be cool. But it would be kinda invonvenient for those who live in the Vancouver area and also those located on the Island. It's only good for those located on the Sunshine Coast. I've tried to plan daytrips to Texada from Vancouver, and we would have to spend the night in Powell River. But it would be a good idea.

i think i could get the Carrier Pricess too, but it would be a long run. from Delta to Nanaimo, and then We'd have to get on the Lynx or a BCF to get back.

Well, that would be fine, if it was on a long enough weekend. So if I was to go over to the Island, I could stay over there long enough to see my friends. Rather than take our time getting over there, and then having to rush home after. Plus I'm sure the Mainlanders might appreciate that as well. But whatever works, it's not a big deal really.

The Carrier Princess is a good idea, doesn't she have a passenger lounge on it from when it carried passengers?

What we could do it do the Carrier Princess and then the Harbourlynx in a day if we went to Naniamo then come back on the Harbourlynx or however we would do that. I might have to stay overnight in Van if we did that.
