You fellas really like ships! I used to work for the company back in the eighties and reading some of your messages brings back alot of memories for me, Thought i would bring something to the table for you. Oh I see, you are at Departure Bay, getting on the Queen of Esquimalt, at first I thought it was at Swartz Bay getting on the Saanich or Vancouver.

ok, when I next go on route 2 I am going to take a movie and try to get as much detail in as possible, like the other ferries, also my voice will be in it: I like to explain my trips to others who want to view it.

Q-Teen can you do the voice over in post? Then we can get a clearer commentary and hear the natural sounds of the ferry. Can't wait to see it. makes me want to get a camera to do videos.

Let's hope we can also clearly hear those public address announcements. A ride on a B.C. ferry for me just isn't complete without those all-too-familiar chimes.

You don't hear classic tone that has been played for years before each announcement and then that recorded guy comes on. Now it's a new type of tone with a lady this time. I think someone recorded that classic tone on the yahoo forum on the Oak Bay a few years ago.

I have a recording from 1994 on the SOBC. Nice video. Can't wait to get my HDV camera in a few years. Need the money though.

I liked Biff, he injected some colour onto this board, and the reactions were hiliarious.....much like they are on this thread too.
The video was quite boring. but nonetheless a good document for what the interior of Esquimalt looks like.

The old IP might have a unique location or ISP, it's still better than not checking. With geobytes.com ip address locator you can narrow things down quite a bit. It's better than not checking eh.
