Is the work by E.J. Hughes by any chance? If so, it the Salt Spring Queen. There's a similar one of the Vesuvius Queen at Crofton. Both are from the early 1970's and just beautiful painitings. Most of his work starts as drawings, the various sketches etc. V.Q. @ Crofton Beach: www.islandnet.com/~pacific/huarb.htmlOthers: (with many CP Ferries from the 40's & 50's): www.islandnet.com/~pacific/hughes01.html#limitedIf you're interested in buying an original these days, they are going for about $150,000 (to start). Last Spring one of them: "Fishboats at Rivers Inlet" was bought for $1.1 Million.

Wow...thats better than the Mona Lisa (which I don't think looks very real anyways). I thought that was a real picture at first.

Very nice painting. Lots of character, almost gives the boat a personality.

I e-mailed the artist and he wants $2k for the Queen of the North painting, and he has sold the Sidney painting but the owner would sell for $2,500. Ouch, a little out of my price range. Although it would fit in great with my house decor.

I wonder how much the prints are? And a lot of painters will have little post-card sized prints for a few bucks.
