Who has been to a bridge of a large ferry size vessel? And what vessel?
I have been to the Bridge of the Queen of Surry and I even got to drive her. Also I have been to the Bridge of the SOVI and the Queen of Saanich. I also went to the bridge on Serenade of the Seas.

There was this thing where you can go meet the Captain, Chief Engineer and Hotel Manager and ask them questions, it was in one of the recreation rooms of the ship (like a sort of mini theater). Anyway the Captain was impressed with my knowlage of the ship and I was allowed up on the bridge, also another factor is that we were still in open water so the bridge crew wasn't too busy but the captain was he had to leave. I got some great tips on what schools to go to for marine training.

In 40 years of BCF trips, just one bridge adventure for me. Holy smoke! No one is here! Step this way, to the No 1 end on Q of Chilliwack. The radio squawked on four or five channels; the skipper and his QM listened with half an ear. Four video screens showed colourful views of Q Charlotte Sound in three radar definitions plus sonar. When we arrived on the working bridge, a 10-yr old girl from Oregon was steering the boat under the QMs guidance. "Make 310, lassie, follow the orange line" "Aye, 310" she said, clever kid.

I got to do some of my high school work experience on the Queen of Coquitlam. It was a lot of fun. I got to steer her a couple of times, and I got to see all the areas the public doesn't get to see. I've also been on the Quinsam's and the Cowichan's.

Probably depends on which vessel, location, manager etc.
