Bowen Queen would be a step backwards, because of a lower truck-carrying capacity. ie. the one-lane wedge in the middle of the ferry on the Bowen-Queen, compared with 6-tall lanes on the HSQ. Kyle: why did the Vesuvius Inn close down? Now you've got to drive to Mobey's for a cold one..... they tried to make it a family restaurant and put up all different half walls to make sections. over the last little bit it was open the ownership was non existant. if you are going to moby's for that cold one you better get there quick. this weekend coming up is the last weekend of business for them. the pub and marina have been sold. rumour is to the owners of hastings house (75%) and the seattle yacht club(25%). and will become a spa or something other then a pub |
