It looks like the Coquitlam is out today so that she can be re-decalled before starting on route 3 tomorrow. The last ime I was on the coq on route 3 was 5 years ago, and she was using her articulating ramp as Berth 1 at Langdale was being worked on.
I guess the Surrey will deadhead over to Departure Bay after her last sailing tonight.

They must have made a change of plans, or they just srewed up the RBI.

why would the coq need to be re decalled?

Each ship which has ads for each destination. The Coq would need ads inside her for the Sunshine Coast. Right now she has ads for Nanaimo on her interior.

The Surrey is supposed to be moved to Route 2 (HSB-Dep Bay)

Probably the Coq's refit this September is for putting new amenities like the Oaky on her and advertisings for the Sunshine Coast. Also remember that the Langdale crew were not very pleased with getting the Coq so that might be the reason

I am going to take a trip on the Surrey when she is on route 2. Too bad or else I would of taken a trip if I lived in Naniamo! It's probably RBI that is screwed up!
As far as the Langdale crew and the Coquitlam! TOUGH! Get used to it! What's wrong with the Coquitlam? What is their reasoning??

Yeah Karl, you're right. There's nothing wrong with the Coquitlam on Route 3. I remember travelling on the Coq many times over to Langdale when I was a kid.

That would be cool if the Surrey went to Departure Bay tonight. I saw her today coming into Horseshoe Bay to do the 1:30 sailing I think. I just wish I had my camera because it looks so cool to look down at the ferries from the Sea to Sky Highway above Horseshoe Bay.

the langdale crew is probably not happy because it means they have to get re orientated onboard the coq.

It has to happen sometime when the Surrey goes for mid-life thats when they have to get re oreinted probably the Surrey is the boat that needs a mid-life upgrade the most she needs new engines probably

smaller things like the instillation of the tourist information desk will also have to occur.

As of today the Queen of Surrey is still on the Langdale Run. I was on her today there and back. Also got a good look at the Queen of Oak Bay as it was leaving Horseshoe Bay as we were pulling in.

I went to Vancouver again today and saw the Surrey still on route 3 coming in to Horseshoe Bay the same time today as yesterday, and then on the way back I went to the Viewpoint of Cypress Mountain and I could see the Vancouver leaving Tsawwassen and the SOVI and maybe the Nanny coming in. Then I could see Oaky coming around Bowen Island en route to Horseshoe Bay and then passing the Esquimalt which was going to Nanaimo. I got pictures from up there, but my camera absolutely sucks and I'm getting a new one because you can't see any of the ferries in the pictures that I took. Hmm I wonder if anyone can guess approximately what time it was when I was up there seeing all of those ferries though! But I think I will post the pics on my yahoo photos site to show you guys. But who can guess??

Probably around 6:30pm I would say if the Nanny was coming into Tsawwassen but it wouldent be the SOVI leaving at that time the SOBC would be coming in.
