My last class wasn't cancelled, but we would have gone outside if Carlin (one of my school's students) had finished his novel, his name has been sitting on the board for 4 months! This is my last day in Vancouver, my freinds at Edith Cavell wanted me to sign their backpacks, my dad is coming on the 7:00pm ferry from Swartz bay to Tswwassen, he will be here with Vic at around 9:30pm

my last 2 classes got cancelled because the temp in the classroom exceeded 31.4 Degrees, which means that the Union says we dont have to be in class. so he let us outside.

It was nice and cool on the Queen of Capilano tonight. Decided to take one more "free ride" on the last day of my 7 day sail pass... even though I had to work today, we took the 7:35 from HBy and came home on the last ferry from Bowen (10:05). Nice sunset tonight. Mosquitoes are coming out though.

Well, that was unnecessary to say that, I am now in Vic and Lauries House in Brentwood Bay.
I will be moving into my house at about 5:00pm tonight, so don't expect me to be online until 6:00.

London - May 31.7c damn it was hot - Rome was 28c and very sunny. Female form was eye catching - ice cream even better. I was thinking of all the poor students doing there exams - as it is a short term break here in the UK - before they start finals next week.
So what do all the "students" on this forum have lined up for summer work this year - anything interesting??
Oh yea I rode - for work- two new 45M & 82M Fast Ferries - fast & smooth is all I can say.......but...

Today it is cold and rain plus thunder - and wind. Been a Friday that means the weekend will be crap. So now we have the weather topic out of the way - what are the rest of the Students on the forum doing for summer jobs? Anyone working in a Pulp mill??? or even on a Ferry?

Nah, I was accepted by Nav Canada for ATC training, but intake is in September at the earliest. Until then I'm at the same old job in Calgary.

I've got 3 jobs goin right now. One of them is helping build an addition on a neighbors house, another one is washing semi trucks, and the 3rd one is working at a bike shop repairing bikes. I have a tight schedule right now trying to fit all that in with school too. I even have one of my friends from the Island coming up to live with me for the summer to help me work everywhere because there's not as many jobs there as there are here. But when summer starts I want to either see if I can do anything on the Garibaldi II on the Woodfibre run or work at one of the golf courses and drive a golf cart all day.

I'd love to do a job repairing bikes. I already do some of my own repairs to mine. I usually just replace brake pads, derailleur work, lubing, etc... I usually take my bike into Ontop bikes for major work like drivetrain installations, and if I need to have a wobble fixed on my bike.
I need to find a paid job. The major thing I have going right now is being an organizer of a battle of the bands concert next weeks, and being the webmaster for it.
