I was looking at page 8 of this forum and noticed that those posts are from this past september. The amount of posts posted in the last six months is unbelievable, look at Karl with something like 290 post and myself, ferryman, harbourlynx kid, pr queen kid and many more with around +150. This forum was on page 4 in sptember, now page 11. There is more information here than on the BC Ferry website, holy smokes.

I've noticed that the first members like Victor Chong, and even John H barely ever post comments. The main members basically consist of Karl, PR Queen Kid, myself, you, HarbourLynx Kid, Ferryman, kylefosset, and DougUBell. I've also noticed that some people are on here lots (I'm logged on 24/7 because I'm too lazy to sign in and out). I think its great that we share such a passion that is uniquely British Columbian, that we share such great stories of our personal experinces on Ferries and offer good opinions on issues like Vessel Construction or Deployment. Because of this, going to this forum has become a frequent routine for me.

Though this discussion group may have a small and variable membership, I am really happy that there are enough BC Ferry enthusiasts to keep this alive.
Coastal BC is my home, as it was my late mother's. She grew up with Union SS trips to Bowen Island in the 1930's; CPR excursions to Newcastle, and picnics at Belcarra.
I have had the luck to travel to some far places, and I've enjoyed 'em all. But this is it. Right here, in tidewater British Columbia. We have paradise at our front door, and BCF is our easy entry.

Hey has anyone seen PR Queen Kid around lately, he hasn't said anything in like 5 days. He's usually on here as much as Karl, which is like everyday.

This is a little off topic
Hey PR Queen Kid, is there a brewery in Powell River? I swear I drove by one when I was there when I was 13, the only time I've ever been to PR.

I gotta say last night was this boards busiest day. Always remember Saturday January 29 2005 The last 2 days have been nuts. but I like busy days, it sure keeps my mind off the depressingly bad ski season we're having.

Way off topic with ferries but..How is it up there on Grouse? That rain sure wrecked the ski season Whistler was even hurting with people having to ski on the glacier, but I think the snow line has finally come down a bit to the alpine, still not alot but it's better than nothing

It is bad enough that they were using a helicopter to to put snow on the main runs. Surprisingly, the Blueberry Bowl is open. Yesterday was my first time up in 2 weeks and man was I ever surprised, there was no snow infron to the Chalet or at the Ski Wee hut where we teach the lower levels. We had to move all teraching operations to the top of the Bunny Hill (Paradise). It has been on and off snow today up there.
