I was so appalled at what the BC Liberals did with tearing up the health-care-workers contract. Call me naive, but I never thought it would be possible for a Government to do that.
I will keep that history in mind on May 17th.

Ditto. However, I was hoping we could keep politics out of this forum. As much as BC Ferries has always been a politcal football,Let's try to keep this about the boats, routes, and people. ie., transportation.

I guess the problem with governments and public funds been used in Transport - where it's by land, sea,air or rail - they all think they have the best scheme / system.
I wonder how many countries still own and run there own Airline (Karl where are you - this is for you)
Some European countries - do have a toll on the major motor ways. In the UK we only have one. France has one - and Portugal. The rest of Europe that I have travel around - don't seem to.
The same with rail - how many countries own there "complete" rail network. The tracks - engines - and terminals? France doesn't nor do we in the UK.
I am trying to work out what European countries own there Ferry systems ? I know just about all the terminals / docks /berths in the UK are in private hands. The UK - so far / maybe wrong /doesn't have any interest in a Ferry system - even in some of the very far outlaying regions.
Canada & BC seem in some things to be world leaders and then in some areas to be worst than the best in a third world country - Why?
