Fortunately, the spring is ALMOST here, after a long (actually it seemed pretty short knowing me...) three months of winter. Started off with dense fog here (which made for a few depressing days) in early December and then to a cold snap with a snow storm, which was all gone by Christmas...as usual. And then came the rain, which almost broke a 50-year old record in January. And finally the February sun broke out...but unfortunately I was sick for the entire time. But let me assure everyone (and myself... that the spring is almost here...I just had that feeling yesterday morning when I woke up to see the sun shining in the kitchen window in a "spring" fashion. And that only reassures me that summer is coming...which is always the best season of the year. The groundhog didn't see his shadow, so that means it may be early...hopefully without a gloomy June. But does anyone have any ferry trips planned for this spring and summer? I will very likely be on a few this year, which may include one to Victoria this spring (which has been delayed already since October) and one to Denman Island again this June. And because we didn't go on a family one last year due to family reasons, I can only hope we will be doing a good (or several) one this year. After all, my father does make $400 a month on reserved holiday pay aside from his check.

I'm planning on a summer trip on Departure Bay-Horseshoe Bay, I have never been on that route so I want to see what it is like.

Our summer trip this year we are thinking of doing the Inside Passage on the Queen of the North. I am doing the Queen of Prince Rupert on Saturday night. Queen of the North during the summer then again in October. As far as big trips go.

I might do Galena Bay / Shelter Bay this summer, along with Needles.
Or maybe the Osprey-2000.

Two summers ago I did the Osprey 2000 and the Needles ferry. That was pretty cool. Interesting little ships!

As you know Shane and I have that Texada tour coming up and I'll probably go on it again. But one guarented trip for me (and probably my first trip on the Coquitlam in nearly a decade) would be my school band trip on the Ferries to Vancouver then the next day to Music Under the K Last Weekend in May in Keremeos BC from May 24th to May 27th! and I'm not leaving you guys out photos will be taken of Ferries and the trip altogether. So thats my fun time of year in these next few months Late May to Mid June ;D Besides that I don't guarentee any other trips before then

Inside Passage and Queen Charlottes for me. Plus additional runs on Route 30.
Additonal Inside Passage trips on Holland American cruise lines.

For those that are wondering, Keremeos in BC is on Highway 3 eastbound just after the mountain pass to the Okanagan.

Keremeos is in the middle of now-where. It's a hick-town as far as I know.

I'm pretty much 100% everyone from BC on this board knew where Keromeos is a long time ago. But thanks for pointing it out anyway.
I hope to get on a few new routes, just to take full of advantage of my freedom with driving everywhere now. One of the first new route trips is doing the tripple route extravaganza to the Island, from Horseshoe Bay (Horseshoe Bay Langdale, Jervis Inlet run, and the Powell River to Comox route). I also wouldn't mind doing some Island hopping sometime soon in the Southern Gulf Islands. I would like to go to Saltspring Island more specifically, as it was around 1991 since the last time I've been there. (I wouldn't know which ferry was running the route though). But then there's the Minor Ferry I've always wondered what it's like, the Tenaka. So I hope to go a bit further up North, to do some exploring, seeming I was born in Campbell River.

I'm in Little River this summer, so I can go over to PR. Unless you only wanted Chris to go.

I don't get any vacation time until October, supposed to get 2 weeks and I'm planning to do the circle tour up the Sunshine Coast, over to Comox and down the island to Victoria, then back to Vancouver.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking the other day. It would be really neat to go out and see most of the ferries in the fleet, but would mean 7 long days though, and gas prices don't help.
