This intrigues me enough to make me want to re-join that facebook group.

I'm curious as to why you would have quit, Mike. 

I got annoyed with Facebook groups in general, specifically with how they were resembling the comments section of a tabloid newspaper (ie. like Trump's tweets).

The nautical history facebook group frequently devolved into "BC Ferries bashing" whenever a ferry was mentioned. It became annoyingly tiresome to me. It seemed like the unlearned, brash comments were overtaking the intelligent items.

I felt the same way about community news Facebook groups, and self-deleted from many of those too. I haven't missed the Trump-tweet style.

I'm more on the sensitive side of how I take things, and so those Facebook groups seemed like a bad fit for me.
