Missed this when I first looked at the July Western Mariner. Forum members posted above about her time at Allied, with photos, and we knew about her propeller replacement. Here's the full summary of the work, from WM.
...hull and sea valve inspection, anodes, propulsion shaft service, inspection of new propellers, tank and interior compartment inspections, installation of new manholes and hatches, anchor windlass service, hull steel repairs, piping system repairs, modifications to the exhaust system, and full coating renewals.
Hull steel repairs? Full coating renewals? Like she's been in service for so long since they last did stuff like that.
A cool looking little vessel, but, what a money pit.

Some time back, someone mentioned possible legal action against the agency that advised BC Ferries about this purchase. If he has any further information on that, I'd be interested.

She'd be a great boat for Goundar's operation in Fiji.

I guess many didn't notice the Northern Sea Wolf snuck out of Deas yesterday and headed for a anchor point of Campbell River for the night and is now pushing on towards Hardy now.

Maybe a silly question, but where is the Wolf going? Into service?

Maybe a silly question, but where is the Wolf going? Into service? Not a silly question, because the schedule they previously had out was confusing regarding the fall. But now they've got the Sea Wolf in service all fall and winter. I guess Nimpkish is done.

And as of six hours ago, according to the Marine Traffic site, Nimpkish was also at Shearwater. I'm guessing we'll be seeing her heading down to Deas before long. Interesting that BC Ferries would make this shift at the end of summer, when you might think they would want the smallest, most economical ship on the central coast route for the very sparse traffic period to come. Maybe it's related to the sale of the mighty Nimpkish. Time will tell.

Northern Sea Wolf is going around in circles near Quadra Island. Not sure where you are getting your information from but according to Siitech the NSW is currently sailing up Burke Channel en route to Bella Coola.

Northern Sea Wolf is near Comox and is supposed to be visiting Vancouver It was off Comox at about 5pm, and right now it's crawling along at five knots, not even having reached Lasqueti. Odd.

She's running slow on purpose to arrive at a specific ETA at Allied for refit. When the Northern Ships head North/South, they're at the mercy of both the favourable tide through Seymour Narrows and the ETA for where they're bound for. In the case of both Deas and Allied, you must arrive at high tide in order to even make it in to their associated basins. That, and when the Longshoremen don't charge premium overtime rates for tie up
