My vote ...

Queen of Vancouver in the summer of Y2K. The 'V class' ferries were still looking good at the turn of the millennium! I would also like to register my support for the Motor Princess.

The tournament officially closes tomorrow at around noon. If anyone wants to submit any final votes for Round 6, you better get your votes in soon because there isn't much time left to do so.

We have a winner! Who am I kidding though, both these fantastic ships have always been winners to us all. There can only be one winner of this tournament, and that winner is the Queen of Tsawwassen!
Queen of Vancouver: 3 Queen of Tsawwassen: 4
BONUS: Dogwood Princess II: 1 Pender Queen: 6
Thank you all for participating in this event! I've had a ton of fun hosting it, and I hope you've had a ton of fun playing along! Personally I have learned a lot throughout this event, I was not familiar with many of the bonus round ships, so it was very fun getting to know some of the old Blackball ferries.
If you would like to share what aspects of the ships you valued the most then please feel free to do so, and I will do so as well.

And the winner ... This photo comes from the time that the Tsawwassen was one of four regulars on route 2, along with the three 'B's. The cake was for another of BC's centennials. 1971 marked the 100th anniversary of BC becoming a province within the Dominion of Canada as it was known back then. Note also the blue-jacketed steward. Once upon a time our very own Starsteward wore a uniform like this. Note also the 1971 version of a 'cell phone'.

Thanks for all your work on this, QoNW Fan! (Sorry I somehow missed this message!) No problem, I am happy to provide something fun for this forum. I joined this forum quite late compared to most people on here, but this place already feels like home to me.

As I didn't travel on most of these ferries, most of my picks were made based on the ships I have been on personally. However, for the ships in which I had no personal experience with, it came down to which ferries had some of my favorite ferry details, such as funnel design, ship's whistle, etc.. I have always loved the funnels since I was really young, whistles on the other hand are something I was scared of when I was younger, but I now find awesome!
I went on the Queen of Tsawwassen and some V class ferries (Queen of Saanich, Vancouver, etc..) a lot when I was younger, so I have always liked the classic funnel designs best.
I'm curious to know what made you all vote for certain ferries in tough matchups? How do you choose between the Queen of Tsawwassen and the Queen of Vancouver for example? For me, that unique slanted funnel of the Tsawwassen was something I had always remembered. It set the Tsawwassen apart for me when I was younger, and it brings back so many great memories for me and therefor gives the slight edge to the Tsawwassen over the Vancouver.
I only just learned that all the ferries had those slanted funnels at one point! You can even see the little ridge in the Queen of Burnaby's funnel in my signature when they added to the funnels.
