BC Ferries works with Northern Sunshine Coast Ferry Advisory Committee to improve ferry service
Posted April 13, 2007
Earls Cove – Saltery Bay and Powell River – Texada Island schedules
to be adjusted starting this summer
BC Ferries has been working diligently with the Northern Sunshine Coast Ferry Advisory Committee to improve connections and on-time performance for customers travelling between Texada Island and Earls Cove.
In the past, it has been a challenge for motorists and the scheduled bus to arrive at Saltery Bay in sufficient time for the second sailing. Any delay in the departure time of the Saltery Bay ferry reduces the travel time for customers to drive to the Langdale terminal.
Minor schedule adjustments on both the Earls Cove – Saltery Bay and Powell River – Texada Island route will be implemented this summer to improve connections and on-time performance.
Starting June 27, 2007, the first sailing from Texada will depart 15 minutes earlier, allowing customers more time to travel to Saltery Bay to catch the southbound sailing to Earls Cove.
By giving customers more time from the arrival of the Texada Island ferry in Powell River to the departure time of the Saltery Bay ferry, on-time performance on the Earls Cove – Saltery Bay ferry is expected to improve.
Minor adjustments to the Earls Cove – Saltery Bay schedule will also be implemented on
June 27, 2007. While the changes are small, they aim to improve customer service, on-time performance and increase travel time between terminals.
BC Ferries thanks the members of the Northern Sunshine Coast Ferry Advisory Committee for their valuable suggestions and feedback on these schedule modifications.

Now this is Good! I don't know if the new Saltery Bay Schedule Will Work or not but it's a stert
