I've only just arrived home from the Okanagan, and I'm still trying to find some info. On my way through Britannia Beach, I noticed a ship was missing from one of the old derelict docks. The "La Lumiere" wasn't at the dock I've seen her tied up to for the last 5 years that I've lived in this area for anymore. So I examined the area a little bit more, and noticed an orange circle of floats. I can only assume that this could be an oil boom, as it's only sitting out a few meters from the dock. There's also red tape marking off the dock that the ship was sitting at as well. Now I've decided to do some reasearch, and in fact it has sank. This is the second disaster at this dock now. The last one being when the SS Prince George was burned in 1995. That's too bad. I think I've seen that boat before. I always check out Brit beach when I go by.
