Oh Boy, I was secretly hoping it wouldn't come to this. I frequent Maritimematters.com and according to the guy that tours these ships while at Alang she's got mold and mildew problems from being in that high humidity for the last 14 months. I guess in saying that it just might be a good thing that Blue Lady is broken-up. It's better to remember her the way she was and not her sad state today. She looks terribly sad lying on that beach.

She was a beautiful ship. I saw her just once on my first ever visit to NYC. Looked great sitting at the pier - I wish I had seen her underway leaving the harbor.

I just read on Maritimematters.com that Blue Lady Ex-Norway, Ex-France is being stripped of removable fittings and furnishings. No steel cutting has taken place yet, as she needs to be made lighter to drag her further up the beach...
