www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/pdf/SC_V4I4.pdfOn pg 3, there an article titled "WSF Through the Years" that's about the Rhododendron. There's at least 2 big errors: (1) The ferry in the picture is the Skansonia, not the Rhododendron. (2) The year the Olympic (which, according to the article, was a sistership of the Rhododendron but I don't think qualifies as such) was built is listed as 1947. She was built in 1938.

They're aware of this. The fellow that helps edit Sound Crossings told me that the photos they have available are poorly organized and often not labeled correctly. When I emailed him he said they had already had four or five emails telling him that they'd misidentified the Skansonia...although apparently it was labeled on the back as the Rhody.It's a neat photo of the Skansonia, which, even though on that route for decades doesn't seem to have had the camera pointed at it very often.
