Here are a few of my more interesting photos from this past summer: Boarding Coastal Inspiration at Duke Point. This was the inaugural sailing back in June. David Hahn was in the car right behind me. As I remember, this was also the sailing that a number of you missed because you were all on the Cowichan which came in after CI departed. Queen of Nanaimo in Active Pass - August, 2008 A "Spooky" silhouette in the summer afternoon sun - June, 2008

Some great shots Mill Bay. I like the Spook at twilight, the two V's in the same shot, and the saddest always being the Sidney languishing.

I have four summer favourites for you. The first 3 were taken in early fall (July) up here on the North Coast, or in Alaskan waters. M/V Columbia @ Ketchikan, AK M/V Taku leaving Prince Rupert MV Queen of Prince Rupert leaving Prince Rupert bound for Haida Gwaii. M/V Osprey, Kootenay Lake, August (summer, yes, but we got slushed on the very next day).

M/V Columbia @ Ketchikan, AK I love this shot of the Columbia...it's just gorgeous, with the water, the clouds, everything. Always have thought she had a lovely design. Excellent photo!

I guess summer is officially over now, so I can safely put these up without missing anything. This one was technically taken in the spring, but it was 24 degrees that day so I think it qualifies. Here's the Queen of Vancouver exiting Active Pass. Taken May 25th from the Bluffs on Galiano. Taken the same day, a Spook entering AP off Georgina Point. Again, from the Bluffs of Galiano. Miss Tsawwassen making a turn to Village Bay. View from Queen of Burnaby's stern doors. Queen of Tsawwassen's after deck. Arrival of the Coastal Celebration, taken from the SOBC. I have more, but haven't put them online yet.

Again, from the Bluffs of Galiano. Miss Tsawwassen making a turn to Village Bay. Very nice shot; I like that fact the Tsawwassen is so understated in this photo with the scenery allowed to take precedence. One of those photos where you are admiring the incredible vista, and suddenly you realize, "Hey, there's a ferry in there!" A judicious crop would turn this into an incredible header as a Tsawwassen tribute.
