You might have noticed a change of my Display Name in the last half-hour. Since September of this year marks 10 years for me as a member of our Forum for this month (as I've done a few times before) I have turned back the clock to my original display name which I displayed in my first year or so on the Forum. With the throwback comes a new Signature and no surprise it's the PRQ. September 2014 Signature #1 by CS16 Photography, on Flickr

Murphy's forum-avatar law is that as soon as you find a new photo, a better one will appear. So my "Jasper the Bear" image was short-lived, because I've found something special and appropriate for me. ....me, playing my flugel horn at my father's memorial service.

My dad passed away in mid August, and we had a memorial service at end of August. My sister & I (she was playing piano with me) played a medley of 2 hymn-like church songs: "How Great Thou Art" and "Majesty." My dad liked those types of songs. We also led a couple of songs of congregational singing, and I gave the eulogy speech. It was a busy time, but I really enjoyed the experience of honouring my dad. It ended up being a day filled with happy memories of him. He was 86 years old, and his passing was very peaceful.

I'm sure your Dad would have been smiling hearing the music you and your Sister played at his memorial. 'Neil' said that placing that photo was worth displacing boats for a while, we could note that 'boats' do represent 'the crossing of distance, over time', as do we, in our journey of life.

For this month's signature change, I go with a fresh shot from earlier this week. With the Skeena Queen making her first visit to the Northern Gulf Islands and the Sunshine Coast in a very long time it's seems fitting that I should display this signature for the first half of December. (And maybe the latter half too) December 2014 Signature #1 by CS16 Photography, on Flickr Also, if anyone is wondering, the rest of my photoshoot of the Skeena Queen from last Monday should be up by the end of this weekend.

I loved my January Signature Pic of Coho entering Victoria's Inner Harbour, but in honor of the Seahawks coming back from behind to win the NFC Championship game this afternoon, and securing a Superbowl slot, I am reprising my signature pic from last year for the two weeks leading up to the Superbowl. Go Hawks!

It's a month of 50s (and a 60) for my Flagship Rotation this month. To start, we have the Tenaka, which made her maiden voyage and inaugurated Route 17 service 50 years ago this month. (May 19th) May 2015 Signature #1 by CS16 Photography, on Flickr and for the latter half of May, the current Route 17 regular, the Queen of Burnaby which also made her inaugural sailing on Route 2 half a century ago. (May 26) Just a shame that she's in such a poor state for her Golden Anniversary. May 2015 Signature #2 by CS16 Photography, on Flickr As an added tidbit, while the NIP is not celebrating any major anniversaries this year, Route 18 which she serves began regular passenger and vehicle service 60 Years ago this month. (May 28th)
