I have been wondering About the accuracy of the vessel Finder AIS when I was checking up on the current Status of the FV Cornelia Marie of the Deadliest catch fame. Currently According to vessel finder the vessel is in Seattle. However it states that on March 26, 2017 she was in Ketchikan which I Believe. However the website is reporting the vessel to be in Busan Korea on Aug 10, 2016 which is highly unlikely. Is this a mistake on the AIS site or did Josh Harris or who ever was in command put that in. See for yourself: www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/CORNELIA-MARIE-IMO-8900000-MMSI-367142080As a side note, It was a interesting to hear our Queen of Coquitlam communicate with this TV Star over the VHF Channel about a year ago.

Seattle is a home port for many vessels that fish in Alaska, so my guess would be that she is indeed there. (Crabbing season is in the winter)

Wonder if she went there for upgrading or repairs?

Wonder if she went there for upgrading or repairs? This current season of The Deadliest Catch did not feature the Cornelia Marie at all, and to the best of my knowledge she wasn't mentioned in passing by any of the captains of the other main-stay vessels, Northwestern, Time Bandit, or the Wizard. I'm sure any of those captains, especially Sig Hansen of the Northwestern would know what Jake Harris and the 'Marie' were up to this past season. If, the Cornelia Marie was at a shipyard in Seattle for repairs or whatever, hopefully she received better service than the Time Bandit received during her very expensive overhaul in a shipyard in Seattle. The Hillstrand brothers were not amused at the service they received and the problems that were not addressed during the refit.

Life is just to busy. I don't even have much time to watch stuff I have on my pvr.
