Having just seen Scott's photo's taken in Victoria. Perhaps someone can remind me as to why they spent good money having this $50,000,000.00 thing repainted in Greece! Further to that, has anyone else noticed just how sloppy and poor the painting of the BC Ferries lettering is on the side? It looks very unprofessional. Even the white lines on the funnel are poorly done.

Hardy hit the nail on the head.
I seem to recall reading on this forum that BCF looked into removing the gallery decks, but it was deemed to not be economically viable due to the massive costs related to strengthening the main car deck (which would result in a significant weight increase, along with the related balancing issues that would need to be overcome) versus the expected return from full time running on Route 30.

I see that the CR is listed for Route 30 for the 18th and 19th, but the CI is back as of the 20th according to RBI. The CR isn't listed again until Dec. 6th.

It seems that the CR has been taken out of service until Dec. 6, which puts a bit of a dent in my plans to take her on Thursday. Does anyone know what's going on?

Our Captain made a special announcement, and pointed out the CC, stated some of her specs, and officially welcomed her to Rte-1 beginning "November 20th" ..... Well that's interesting. I just happen to be going to the island on Thursday...maybe I'll get lucky.

From the best of my recollection, she was running Route 2, with the occasional foray on to Route 3.

Sorry to drag this back from the dead, but I finished a drawing thats somewhat pertinent to the discussion. Seeing how we've never seen a clear picture of exactly how the Princess of Vancouver looked in the Expo livery during here brief tenure with BC Ferries, here's my take on how she looked.

How exactly was the Alberni removed from the reef, given the angle she was resting at?

Here's the Queen Of The Islands in the original Dogwood livery, MOH, Expo, and the current BCFS livery.

Here's another 'what if?' scenario... The Spirit of Coquitlam.

How about a 'what if' of a Spirit vessel in dogwood - pastel blue? Something like this then?
