New Idea - Free travel on a Ferry

They do this every year, but admitadly this is the largest stretch of time I've seen. They've been having a lot of discount promotions in the last year. Others that come to mind are free adults in the car if you reserve, 20% off in ther Gift Shop for BCAA members, 10% of the 9pm sailing and things like that

I got an E-mail from BCF--savings is 34% on kids, and everything else is up to 30%.

it is to get the people who are able to travel on those days and don't necassarily need to travel on the busy days away from the busy days to maybe help lower the crowds and waits. airlines do it too. notice westjet discount fares, they are usually not on fridays or sundays.

Seniors travel for free Monday to Thursday also.

Well, this is a good idea - give the tickets away in the low season, get the people onboard - I mean the ferry sails anyways.. and make up the money as people will always spend something onbaord for food and drinks, well most will do - and they get their ships probably a bit more full. Good idea right ?

It's Definatly a good idea if BCF wants New Ferries they need to make money off of fares discount or not, food, Giftshop, and all other things

Remember a long long time ago when instead of discounts they just had lower fairs during this time of the year? It's not really a saving if you think 365 days ago the cost to get on is the same as a sale cost, today.

Well, you are right - if it is free for some, it is not free for others. Like we do have here some special offers for this and that - and see what happens to the prices for caravans/cabins - up & up.. to cover for the other I´m pretty sure..
