Take a look at this. The Tachek and Quadra Queen II and sailing on the Campbell River-Quadra Island Route. You don't see this that often. Last time that happened was in the 70's.

Now take a good look at the picture and you will notice that the ships are in Expo colours. BC ferries took over the run at the end of December 1986. So I can tell you that the this picture was taken was early 1986.
Also somewheres between 1982 and 1985 I went over to Quadra Island with my parents for a short visit. We sailed on both the Quadra Queen 2 and the Tachek and they were still in the Ministry of Highways colours then.

The QQII and Tachek both did the Quadra run until it was replaced by the NIP (temporarily) and then the Mayne Queen around 1988. Both ferries were in full Expo colours when they left.
