I just got back from Vancouver a few mins ago. I was on the last sailing out of Tsawwassen on the SOVI. You can tell she just had a refit as you can smell the fresh new paint on the car deck. Looks really nice by the way. Now some differences between the SOVI and SOBC. I noticed the yellow centre on the car deck where they usually park handicap people, that is not yellow anymore, it's a nice blue. There arent too many differences actually but another one is the door that you could enter the Lantern Coffee Bar from the outside deck is still there on the SOVI. Although you cant enter the Seawest lounge from there, the door is still there. Dont know for what purpose. Noticed on the SOBC the upper deck by the funnel, the highest passenger deck was off limits, they had a sign that said crew only. Interesting as I have never seen that are closed off before. SOVI does look pretty good now although nothing too different as she is the same now as the SOBC pretty much. They seem to be very imformative now. We had to slow down entering active pass cause of the SOBC and the Carrier Princess, they informed us about that and they mentioned something about the vibrations at the back of the ships are normal, lol! Dont know why they would say that, lol, maybe someone was concerned, lol!

Vibrations? Concerns from passengers? Perhaps fallout from the QON incident.
People could be paying more attention for strange vibrations...

Yeah that's what I thought. First time I heard them say something like that. I thought it was probably due to the Queen of the North incident.

As an employee, I'll just say that we have all a noticed an increase in concern by passengers. Even over little things that are perfectly normal. We all feel that we are under the microscope. We are noticing passengers watching us as we pass through passenger areas and carry on with our daily routines. For the most part they are keeping their comments to themselves, which suits us just fine.
