CBC Radio News is reporting that the Washington Marine Group will *not* be bidding on the contract to build the three new northern vessels.
This is new enough that I can't seem to find any news stories about it online.

Wow, that is the first mention of the new intermediate vessel to replace the Twa in months. Maybe an announcement is coming soon?

The Navy only has capital funding for two support ships, or so I thought. Maybe the previous idea to have a mega-super-ultra ship finally dawned on some one as being illogical and they're getting three sensible ships for the same cost.
At this rate, I call the intermediate vessel to be commissioned in, let's say, 2067 +/- 5 years.
