Hullo has added more sailings than I would have anticipated, and I expect that BC Ferries also has market analysis that leads them to adjust schedules more expertly than us ferry fans can.

This is sort of the same as the recent Translink warning about how much transit services might have to be cut back if funding levels are kept the same. It's not alarmism; it's a statement about the need for government, in both cases provincial, to show how it prioritizes basic transportation. Both marine and land based transit systems are extremely expensive to run. I don't envy the province for their conundrum in finding the necessary funds.
