I have a question re: redwise. How big is this company? Do they have multiple crews or is it just one crew? Does anyone know?
Cheers,

your photos www.pbase.com/kstapleton/image/94710739So far, inside it is the same, some of the modifications that were done on the CR after it came to Canada to make it more user friendly are already done. Oh, the floor in the engineer's mess is no longer the same as in the Engine Control Room is it a wood grain style. Thanks for all the detailed tracking of the vessel. The delivery crew took some photos so as soon as they have their family time and are back on the ship we shall try and get some of the photos.

So i guess Bc ferries will have to stick: 1 super C, 1 C, and 2 Spirits on route 1 soon cause they have QoT, QoV, and QoS up for sale. I dont know if that will be good or not lol !

Greetings. I was just told of this web site.......Interesting. I have some photos of my portion of the passage that I will give to Kevin to post on here. I have a good one of the Ship going under the Bridge of the two Americas from the launch when I left the Ship in Panama City. Cheers B

OK, so then the summaries:
PK - an increase of 90
ferrrynut - an increase of 170
DENelson - an increase of 317
Well done by all in tracking the delivery voyage of the Coastal Inspiration!
Excellent Photos, Kevin! Now I'd really like to see the two Coastals adjacent to one of the classic C's. The C would probably look like a B class ship in size, especially vertically!

I see the CI's BrinkBreaker™ has already been removed.

I have a question re: redwise. How big is this company? Do they have multiple crews or is it just one crew? Does anyone know? By checking their website, you can see that they have several ships in transit at any given time. I do not know how "big" they are, but I imagine that they have a fair sized operation. Check them out yourself at www.redwise.nlI believe that most of the crew on CI were on CR as well, but that is just from one quick email that I sent to RW; I would expect that familiarity with the vessel and it's handling characteristics would be a good case for keeping the same crew that delivered the first and second one together for the third go-round.

Good points Hardy. I expect that, with some minor changes, the Redwise crew will be very much like that which brought over the Coastal Inspiration.

We've seen that before with the CR. It's what the tracker reports when its connection to the ship's AIS transponder is severed—all binary ones in the speed field.

But then, would we be dealing with wake complaints again?

There'd have to be a tsunami warning every hour of the day.

Looks like they have her ballast adjusted and/or fuel loaded on board. She’s sitting down at the same level C/R does now.

I went to the BC Highways website for the CI, as maintained by Paul K. Beyond Ensenada, my browser encounters an error. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Has or will BC Ferries have to pay any import duty on the current Coastal?
They paid the duty on the Sonia – then appealed, and received a refund of $13M.

During a group convo the other night on MSN, we were discussing the CI's damage. Here's a photo taken by Scott, showing the barge up against the hull for repairs. But looking closer, a section of windows on Deck 5 are covered with plastic now. Apparently this was all due to stress cracks from the high seas as she was flexing with the waves. Does this seem like a logical explanation? www.flickr.com/photos/bcfs/2375904341/sizes/o/
