It's a calm night in Flensburg. So quiet, you could play Bach's "Air in G string". A NICELY LIT SHIP AWAITS HER ENDS. INSIDE THE SHIPBUILDER'S CATHEDRAL. ALL IS QUIET. NOT FOR LONG, THOUGH. THE WAYS AWAITS PLACEMENT OF THE FIRST SET OF MODULES OF 735 (CC). THEN, "AND AWAY THEY GO" (Thanks, Bob Cole, for keeping this terrific phrase active in your beautiful announcing on Hockey Night In Canada!) WITH A SWARM OF HARD HATTERS WITH ALL TOOLS NEEDED IN PUTTING TOGETHER ANOTHER MASTERPIECE! We all await the "friendly persuader" to arrive to lift Poland's contributions (ends) into place.

P_Keenleyside, Many thanks for posting the placement of the end on CI! HERE IS MY LATEST CAPTURE. MEANWHILE, IN THE SHIPBUILDER'S CATHEDRAL, THE FIRST MODULE OF THE NEXT FERRY MV COASTAL CELEBRATION HAS BEEN PLACED ON THE WAYS!!! BACK OUTSIDE AGAIN, THE CONNECTIONS HAVE BEEN REMOVED. THE BIG CRANE IS DISCHARGED WITH MANY THANKS FOR A GREAT JOB WELL DONE. MEANWHILE (AGAIN!), BACK INSIDE THE SHIPBUILDER'S CATHEDRAL, THE SECOND MODULE IS BEING PLACED!!! MODULE IS NOW PLACED. Mr. Brinkmann, your yard is having a real productive day! We here are proud of your workers!! ;D

This is a film team, making short clips about the keel-laying and the mounting of deckhouses - maybe soon available on the FSG website under RoRo´s grow...

OTHER END IS NOW RISING. BEING MOVED. OVER THE WATER. NEARING THE VESSEL. OVER THE OTHER END NOW. INSTALLED! Two major end structures installed aboard a launched ship and two first modules on the ways on the same day is quite a remarkable achievement! ;D

yes ,talk about two totally different philosophies, recently i contacted the local shipyard [which i will not name]to see about photos or a web cam of another vessel under construction and it didn`t even rate a response, maybe fsg should open a shop here in canada

"Shipbuilder's Cathedral"? I prefer to call it the VAB, or "Vessel Assembly Building", giving it the same acronym as the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Yes, but Shipbuilder's Cathedral makes it sound more mystical or spiritual or however, like something out of ancient sea lore.

Yes, but Shipbuilder's Cathedral makes it sound more mystical or spiritual or however, like something out of ancient sea lore. The reason why I call this amazing structure a "Shipbuilder's Cathedral" is because this is like a long nave of a real cathedral with "windows" at each side (and top) and a big door at the end. I've been in Saint John's in NYC and that is HUGE! More than 600 feet long!! We old (and young) salts are all "worshiping" shipbuilding at the finest here on this forum and around the world through these fantastic cameras kindly provided by the great folks in Germany and the wonderful world of Internet. BOTH NEWBUILDINGS SIDE BY SIDE. NICELY TOGETHER UNDER THE EUROPEAN NIGHT SKY AND A BRIGHT MOON!

[satire] If you look at the BCFS logo "mating slugs" on the CI's funnel, and look at them sideways and also imagine them as a mirror image and straighter, less curvy, then they would resemble the emblem of the Nazi's "Waffen-SS"
Coincidence?
I predict an eagle emblem on the Coastal Celebration.... [/satire]

Yep, that must be why BC Ferries contracted with FSG. Can anyone else think of a shipyard more efficient and expedient than that?

Well every time I look at the web cam there is always pepole working on them, so they must be working around the clock. If they did that her it would be done just as fast I think but that is just me.

Hey brinkman, could you tell the guys to redirect the camera to show both Super Cs together at one point in time or just get a picture of both of them together please? Talk about very fast progress and keep it up!
