It would be nice to get a picture where all three sisters are together. Maybe BCFERRIES can make this happen.

Unless they're not directly participating in the Opening Ceremonies, it's a long walk from Canada Place to BC Place Stadium, and the Super C's can't fit into False Creek.

Well, I guess only one Super C would be required to transport the entire Canadian Olympic team to Downtown, since the 2006 Canadian Olympic team had 196 participants. Several dignitaries can also be on board.
Edit: Gah! I really need to see past the surface here! Yes, the SkyTrain can help out, but one question remains: What's the maximum capacity of one four-car train?

SkyTrain is great. I used this when I arrived from Seattle by Amtrak when I attended the Open Ship aboard the MV COASTAL RENAISSANCE at Canada Place. I did this exact same routine when I came up earlier when I took the SeaBus over to North Vancouver and transit to Grouse Mountain. Be thankful for these transit services you have up there.

MaK I train? I knew it all along! MaK products are in more places than we thought. ;D Skytrain has 60 Bombardier MK II cars each with a capacity of at least 150 passengers, so yes, one train could hold that number. Even if it took more than 1 train, during rush hour there is a train leaving Waterfront station every 2 to 3 minutes. I suspect that it would take almost as long to load that many passengers as the length of the 4 minute trip from there to BC Place.

Regarding the CC's on board services....
I was under the impression that the Pacific Buffet was going to be located where the Sitka Coffee Place is on the CR and CI...this is what the crew told me.
The CC is now listed on the ship profiles page of the BCF website, and it states that the CC has a Coast Cafe, Coast Cafe Express, Pacific Buffet, AND a Sitka Coffee Place! Is this an error? If not, how are these facilities going to be laid out?

No. 1 End, Deck 6: Pacific Buffet No. 2 End, Deck 6: Coastal Cafe Mid-Ship Deck 5 (or 6): Sitka Coffee Place Mid-Ship Deck 5 (or 6 Opposite Gift Shop): Coast Cafe Express Though then again the arrangement could be different... No. 1 End, Deck 6: Sitka Coffee Place No. 2 End, Deck 6: Pacific Buffet Mid-Ship Deck 6 or 5: Coastal Cafe Mid-Ship Deck 5 (or 6 Opposite Gift Shop): Coast Cafe Express Or like This... The CC is now listed on the ship profiles page of the BCF website Speaking of the Ship Profiles Page, when they are going to remove Queen of Esquimalt? It's still showing as an active vessel.

I would say get rid of the Coastal Cafe Express and make that the Sitka Coffee Place. It looks like with the fleet profile they did a copy and paste job with her information in and just added the Pacific Buffet while forgetting to remove the Sitka Coffee Place perhaps.

The Coastal Celebration does not have a Sitka Coffee Place.
I would say get rid of the Coastal Cafe Express and make that the Sitka Coffee Place. The only real difference between those two is that the Coastal Cafe Express lacks the seating lounge.

Coastal Celebration is in Victoria Harbour. Just happened to check to see where a few of the ferries were and i noticed she wasn't where she was 'supposed' to be.

Welcome King Guest. The Coastal Celebration is in dry dock in Equimault. The shipyard there is does work on the Canadian Navy vessels but takes on commercial contracts. We assumed she is there to have her preservice check-ups, maybe to examine the seals on her props and other work. We are waiting to hear from some of our usual sources the details why she is there - hint hint .

I have taken a glance over the past few days, and it looks like the CC has been (and still is) anchored in Esquimalt Harbour and NOT in drydock there. I too am curious about the purpose of this mission. . .and also hoping that one of our South Island Correspondents can get down there and snap a couple shots.

Quoting myself: Approach Looks to be in(bad CC loc): It looks like the tug pushed the CC into the dry dock. CC locater looks to have had a hickup/dataspike. Quite common when working with survey data. Additional-->few days later finally shows in:

Yeah I thought that is what I saw too. However, since navy ships always get priority or perhaps another urgent job came in, it is possible she was taken back out. I have never seen a ship anchored in Esquimault harbour but it is possible I suppose. Usually they dock along side one of wharfs.
