WestJet all the way!! Never flown with Air Canada except Canadian Airlines which was part of Air Canada. Not bad, cant remember it too well as it was back in like 97.
Air Canada even looks better now than Jetsgo did.

Hmm I wouldn't know. I've never been on a plane ever in my life. Just strickly the transportation on the ground. The closest I've been to flying was going up the Gondola up Whistler. But it sounds like Westjet is pretty good, so I'll have to go with what everyone else says.

That would be so awesome to have your own plane. Do you guys ever take it somewhere instead of going on a huge roadtrip somewhere?

WestJet is way better than Air Canada. Actually I shouldent say that cause I never been on Air Canada. But if I ever travelled internationally I would probably go Air Canada.
Well my parents have been flying even before I was on the earth. They have been up north, not with the same plane though. Basically we havent been on any big trips but they want to do some flying trips somewhere. usually if we are planning to go someplace far we usually just fly the airlines cause it's quicker. Even in a small plane it would take like all day to reach LA compared to 3 hours on an airline.

I fly in about 6 to 8 times a year to Vancouver from London - and either come by BA or Air Canada. Some times BA is better than Air Canada - But for some reason I always get a upgrade on Air Canada - not on BA - plus Air Canada - here in London actully phone me up - if I haven't been out on there flights - which is a bit concerning - like Big brother is watching - or they have a good computer system to guess when I should be flying.
I have used WestJet to Calgary - a few times - it's OK - but do note your comments about it getting bigger - we have the same with a few smaller airlines - which are now big or biggger - they sort of lose that personal touch.
We switched to BA as we heard that Air Canada had financial problems - but they seem to be out of the woods - or are they?
Getting across to the Island - well that is the problem - schedule not running to time table - late sailings and the cost. My parents live near Harbourlynx kid - so it is a real job just trying to get over and see them.
Next time I'll call Karl and he can pick me up and fly me across - I'll stand you a beer for the trip - Karl

I can categorically say that Air Canada SUCKS! I always chose Canadian over AC when they were still flying because I was a frequent flier on Pacific Western and CP Air when I was growing up. No airline has ever had better liveries than CP or PWA! Also, I just loved the Fokker F-28's that Canadian Regional used. What a fantastic little jet. Because they were so small, a take-off, especially at full power, was a totally awesome experience. Anyway, back to Air Canada, my girlfriend and I just booked our flight to Campbell River from Kelowna ( Regional 1 to Vancouver, then Baxter Air to Nanaimo, then Harbour Lynx to Van, Air Canada back to Kelowna). Friggin AC wants $15 PER PASSENGER for advance seat selection. What a joke. The only reason we're taking AC back is because they're the only one with a late flight back to Kelowna ( Westjet and Regional 1's last flights leave at around 5:30, whereas AC has a departure at 9:50, which will give us time to hang out in Van for a while). Of course, Westjet is THE only way to go, and we could have taken their 7:30 AM flight to Van, but we'll check out Regional 1, which goes to the south terminal anyway, right close to Baxter Air's seaplane base. Flying rules, Westjet rocks, Queen of Tsawassen should be the flagship.

Yeah well with WestJet you dont have to pay extra to choose where you want to sit. We like to sit at back so we always ask for the back. You only have to pay $15 more for advance seat selection with the Tango fare, all other fares you dont have to pay extra although the fare is more. We had thought of taking Air Canada one way when we go down to LA next month. But in the end we decided to go WestJet, cause we tried booking WestJet coming back one way from LA but of course since the departure was from the states we could only use Visa, for some reason that is something they are working on to get mastercard up and running for one way originating in the states, of course with WestJet, half the fun is getting there, even though we go through Calgary from Victoria and gont get to LA till 6:20 that evening, but coming back we are booked on the 7pm WestJet flight direct to Vancouver then we will hop the ferry to back to the island the next morning cause we dont get into Vancouver till 9:50 that evening. I hope we get one with Live TV and Winglets, well not from Victoria but from Calgary down we will.
No strong skier we dont have a float plane, just are normal cessna 172.

Yes, I always sit in the back, too. It always seems less crowded, with more people sitting up front. Kind of makes you wonder how the centre of gravity is affected. I've been on a few Westjet flights where I've literally had the last four or five rows to myself. Kinda neat. Plus, the pre-boards also sit up front (kids), so it's usually nice and peaceful in back, except during Christmas, when it's pandemonium everywhere. Good to hear WJ's gonna keep the old -200's for a couple more years. I live right under the departure path for runway 15 (16 now, I think, due to magnetic declination) here in Kelowna, and I still love the roar of those old Pratt and Whitney JT- 's. I'll miss those old birds when they're gone, been flying on 'em regularly since the PWA days (the old, old blue and white livery).

I took a few lessons on a Cessna 150 out of Pat Bay - just by Victoria Airport - before they started to make it bigger. Great little plane.

Yeah I have flown into Kelowna a few times on WestJet, the very first time we were on a 700 series but ever since then it has been the 200. Yeah the back does seem less crowded. If no one was able to choose seats the majority of the people would be up front if it wasent a full loadt. I dont think you would want the majority of the people in the tail and less people up front cause then the tail would be more heavier. So yeah you have to balance it. We have sat in the last row at the back then behind us there was a little two seat row which was kind of neat.
